Poor steer. He was still lying there this morning - well mostly. The herd was protecting him from scavengers. The crows were lined up waiting. Not only that, but 2 coyotes were desperately trying to get in on it too. Just then, a huge bald eagle swooped in and perched himself in a tree. It was just a waiting game from that point.

When Godith's sheep were killed by the dogs, she said that every bird of prey in 100 mile radius were circling the property. She's only about a mile from you (as the crow flies), so they're probably the same birds. "Look! Buffet!" Zooooooom! Nice pics of the wildlife!
