Hollie is sick again! This is her 2nd day out of school and I, too, am homebound. At least it isn't Strep (yet) but just a cold and fever. She had Strep at the end of Oct and Dec. Now this! Geez - kids are germ factories.
I hope to start a quilt this week for a little boy in Hollie's class at LCS. His family discovered over the summer that he has cancer - metastatic medulloblastoma, a type of cancer of the brain and spinal column. He had a pretty difficult time early on but things have been slowly improving for him. His chemo has been working - which is so great! He has been able to visit his class a couple times - as he hasn't been able to begin school this year. It has been very sad for him and he sometimes thinks that they are forgetting him. So....I am making a quilt for him with all his classmates school pictures (54 to be exact). That way he can see his friends everyday and take them with him to Children's hospital for his treatments. I hope to get started tomorrow.

Just a suggestion--you might want to be careful about how much info you put out there. Today's posting has Hollie's name, grade and school name, and Sunday's post has her picture. Lots of crazies out there. Love, Karen
